What Is Heated Tobacco?
Rather than burning straight through the tobacco, heated tobacco products use electricity to heat tobacco sticks until just before combustion. This produces a vapour that contains nicotine and many of the same chemicals traditionally found in tobacco smoke, but at a lower concentration. What this essentially means is that you get the same smoking sensation, but without the smoke and unpleasant smell caused by cigarettes.
Is Heated Tobacco Safer Than Smoking?
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) reports that the emissions created from heated tobacco products generally contain lower levels of harmful particles than regular cigarette smoke.
