So you've learned about e-cigarettes, and you might even have been using them for a while, but there's one thing you want to know; what e-liquid produces the most vapour? You might have been trying to blow out huge clouds yourself, but you haven't seen the same results as other people. Well, that's because there's a bit of an art to blowing those vapour clouds, but it isn't too complicated as long as you know what you're doing and you choose your e-liquid wisely.
VG
If you want an e-juice that produces great clouds, the first thing you need to do is check the composition. The main bases for e-liquids, VG and PG, differ significantly so you have to make sure you've got the balance right. PG is thinner, holds flavour better and gives more of a 'throat hit', so it's a good choice for ex/current smokers who still want that feeling at the back of their throat when they vape. However, PG isn't known for its vapour production so if you have too much in your e-juice, you're not going to get great results.
VG, on the other hand, is thicker with a sweet taste. It doesn't hold the flavour quite so well as PG, and gives less of a throat hit (which some people prefer), but if you want more vapour then VG is the way to go as it produces large amounts when vaped. Just be careful your set-up can handle it, though, as some equipment isn't compatible with VG.
Ohm-azing Grace
The key to blowing huge clouds isn't just down to your choice of liquid, but to the rest of your set-up too. If you really want the biggest clouds, then you're going to have to try sub-ohm vaping. This means vaping with an atomiser that has a low resistance coil (less than 1 ohm). The difference with these low-resistance attachments is that more of the power can then be used to heat up your e-juice. A larger amount of heat is therefore spread over a much larger area, causing more juice to be vaporised and larger clouds to be produced!
You can either build your own atomiser for this purpose, or buy one ready made. A word of caution, though - sub-ohm vaping is not recommended for beginners, and should only be tried by experienced vapers with a knowledge of ohm's law. If you're not careful you could find your vaporiser exploding in your hand!
