If that's your thing, then the next step might be wondering whether you can vape pure VG, to get the most out of the experience. There's no reason why vaping 100% would be any worse from a health perspective than the combination of PG and VG that makes up the majority of e-liquids. Vegetable glycerin is a benign substance that has been rated safe to ingest by the FDA. While not enough study has been done on inhalation of VG, it seems unlikely that it would have any significant health effects. Drawbacks to Pure VGVG is well known for its thick nature, and because of this it can be quite hard on your equipment. Some set-ups can't even run with high concentrations of VG, and even if they can run, it still requires a lot of cleaning to prevent the machinery clogging up. Another problem is that some users complain of mucus in the throat, probably due to the thick nature of the VG, but this isn't unique to pure vegetable glycerin. All in all, you just need to make sure your vaping gear cuts the mustard before going down the 100% VG route - pen-style vaporisers probably won't be able to handle it. Benefits to Pure VGVaping pure VG also has some benefits, in that you know exactly what you're inhaling. With the lack of regulation surrounding vaping at the moment, manufacturers don't have to tell you what ingredients are going into their flavourings, so you can't be too sure what you're getting is safe. If you choose pure vegetable glycerin though, you can eliminate that doubt. Eliminating the flavourings isn't the end of the world from a taste perspective either, as VG has a sweet taste anyway, which many people find pleasant. Another benefit, at least for some people, is that you won't be using any PG while vaping. PG can, in fairly rare cases, cause allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes, and irritates the throat more than VG. It's also cheap! If you buy pure vegetable glycerin from a grocery store you can save money over buying ready-mixed concoctions. You will, however, miss out on the flavour and throat hit that comes from the PG. A good compromise would be a high percentage of VG with some PG and flavourings thrown in, for a more balanced vaping experience.
