Since the introduction of TPD legislation, the vaping world has been turned on its head. Manufacturers and developers have rushed to meet these new requirements, and retailers like ourselves have had to adjust to ensure compliance.
The 10ml bottle limit has been a significant point of contention, with many vapers believing that this robs them of consumer choice and artificially makes day-to-day vaping more difficult. Fortunately, e-liquid manufacturers have been hard at work developing new ways to bring back more varied e-liquid options, and Simple Vape have developed the PlusNic Nicotine Booster.
How Do You Use PlusNic Nicotine Boosters?
PlusNic booster shots provide a nicotine top-up for 0mg e-liquids. To put it simply: add a 10ml nicotine booster shot to 50ml of nicotine-free e-liquid to give it a nicotine boost. While there are complex ratios and equations out there you can use to work out what nicotine strength to use, this simple guide makes things much easier:
Add one 9mg PlusNic to 50ml of e-liquid for an e-juice with a 1.5mg nicotine strength
Add one 15mg PlusNic to 50ml of e-liquid for an e-juice with a 2.5mg nicotine strength
Add one 18mg PlusNic to 50ml of e-liquid for an e-juice with a 3mg nicotine strength
The 0mg e-liquid effectively waters down the higher nicotine level in the booster shots, providing an overall lower nicotine level in the finished product. If you want an even stronger e-liquid though, you can double up the amount of nicotine you use for an even higher nicotine content:
Add two 18mg PlusNic shorts to 40ml of e-liquid for an e-juice with a 5.15mg nicotine strength
Unfortunately, maths gets in the way at this point and makes it almost impossible to get a true 6mg nicotine strength. Also, bear in mind that when adding an extra 10ml shot, you’ll need to add it to 40ml of e-liquid rather than the 50ml a single shot demands. This can make things a little more difficult when dealing with 50ml short fill bottles.
What are Short Fill E-Liquids?
Short fill e-liquids make using nicotine boosters ridiculously easy. Because the nicotine booster system necessitates adding 10ml to 50ml of e-liquid, a full bottle can make the process more difficult and messy.
Fortunately, at Vape Mountain we offer a huge range of 50ml short fill bottles. These contain 50ml of e-liquid in a 60ml-capacity bottle, leaving you with plenty of space to top up with a nicotine booster.
Balancing VG and PG
For simplicity’s sake, all of our 50ml short fills feature the standard PlusNic Nicotine Shot as an addable product, making it easier for you to get the nicotine strength you want all on a single page. However, for some e-liquids the 70/30 ratio may not be the best solution. When dealing with e-liquids with a significantly higher VG content the PlusNic 100 Max VG Nicotine Shot is available, featuring a 100/0 VG/PG ratio.
