Vaping is often described as a smooth experience, where silky vapour passes fluidly through your vaporiser, before being inhaled and dispersed as curling, unfurling clouds. Beautiful!
To ensure as smooth a vaping experience as possible, it’s important to keep your vaporiser clean. Cleaning your tank stops it from clogging, helps prevent the unpleasant burnt taste, improves the overall lifespan of your device and makes the whole vaping process smoother and more hygienic.
Clever Clogs
The PG and VG in the e-juice builds over time, clogging the coils and stopping the vaporiser from working at its best. It’s therefore advised that you clean your atomiser tank after every use to get the most out of your product.
We can already hear you moaning and groaning at the prospect of cleaning, but don’t worry! You don’t need to whack on the marigolds and resign yourself to hours of elbow-greasing boredom. Cleaning your vaporiser is really easy and shouldn’t take long – we’ll show you how.
Step by Step
Unscrew the tank and make sure that it’s empty before rinsing it out with clean water. Do not use soap or harsh cleaners.
Gently clean the battery and tank cap – a good way to do this is by using a cotton bud dipped in clean water or rubbing alcohol. Do not submerge the battery in water or any other liquid.
Let all the parts air-dry and then reassemble.
Refill the tank with e-liquid, making sure you allow the wicks to soak up a little juice before you resume vaping. This prevents the dreaded burnt taste caused by vaping with a dry wick.
Happy Vaping
It’s that simple! Remember that if the tank is still clogged after these steps, or if it’s particularly difficult to clean, your best bet may be to simply replace the tank. Having a replacement tank to hand can generally make your life easier, allowing you to switch the tanks instead of having to constantly rinse and refill.
This isn’t the only way to clean your vaporiser: instead of rinsing out the tank, some may choose to swab it with a cotton bud, soak it in water or even submerge it in vodka for a few hours!
Whatever your chosen method, a little maintenance goes a long way. It may sound boring but if you’re serious about vaping and truly want to get the most out of it, the importance of cleaning your vaporiser can’t be understated!
