E-cigarettes tend to use automatic batteries. When you inhale on your e-cigarette, a sensor detects this pull and activates the battery – so the act of you inhaling triggers the e-cig to work, just like a real cigarette.

An automatic battery isn’t as powerful as a manual, something often found in other devices such as vape mods. It is, however, easy to use and allows you to replicate the experience of smoking more realistically, as the e-cig is activated by you inhaling alone and not by pressing a button.
